While the main activity of the CCB is its informal English Conversation classes we also create opportunities to practice English in social situations with other Members whenever we can.
- Cinema: We arrange group visits to see films that reflect the best of English (or American) culture when a suitable VO screening is on release in Lille. Or we screen and discuss old favourites at the CCB
- Cultural: We also arrange appropriate local museum and gallery visits whenever possible. Most recently these have included presentations of the works of the English designer William Morris at the Piscine in Roubaix, a ceramics exhibition in the Chercq Kilns and a tour of historic Brussels
- Social: We organise occasional events for members that have most recently included English language presentations of topical interest and our own Art Master-Class…
And we have, of course, celebrated and screened King Charles coronation!
